Introspection

Hello, I think that from now on I'm going to write on Sundays, so I can have a true summary of a full week.

This week was the organic sequel of the previous one: I kept having ideas of projects and great desire of improving my lifestyle. I got into preparing healtier meals for myself, the problem is that it takes time and I'm always in lack of time. Last week I instaleld a self-hosted service that allows me to store my own recipes, and this week I had the chance to save a few ones. It's still a bit early to give opinions on the tool, but if you want to try that out, it's called Tandoor Recipes.

Setback

The week I was looking forward to, has passed, and I'm disappointed. Disappointed by myself, mostly. This time for myself was supposed to be dedicated to a healtier life-style, but it turned out to be the opposite. A big heat wave, my hateful neighbors, the fact that I had to take care of 3 animals besides myself, (I can barely take care of myself), all these things pushed me to consume a lot of junk food. The trend of sleeplessness continued, as well as the low-focus one.

Explosion of ideas

Yes, I'm cheating already. I'm writing this post from the future, but hey, this is my blog, so I do as I please.

A rainy day

Last week and last weekend I really managed to relax, so i thought this week would be a productive one. And indeed it started like that, at work I used the excuse that I had to catch up from the holidays to burn down my entire list of saved messages on slack: it was over 80 threads and it took me slightly more than two days. Two full days of focus on burning down that list. Monday and Tuesday. After that, focus started to fade out until Thursday in which I did not accomplish absolutely anything. Fucking ADHD, sometimes I wonder if meds would help, but I cannot swallow pills anyway.

A trip to the mountains

Here we are at the second post of this blog, it's Friday and yes, I almost forgot about it.

I had a really nice week because, as I anticipated in the previous post, I went on a little trip to the mountains with my wife and our dog. This was our first time camping with the dog, and actually our second time camping together at all. I'm confident to say that the experiment went pretty well, fur in the tent aside.

A new Hope

I just got inspired, thanks to James Van Dyne, a colleague of mine and amazing team leader, to start a personal blog. I would like to make a commitment and write one post per week, trying to follow the principles of IndieWeb.

Here we go with Week #1, but, since this is the very first post, I need to go a bit further than a week to be able to describe where I stand today.

It hasn't been an easy month, this one.
